Mathias Merz, his wife and 2 children are registered for SG26 in Skien and Siljan.
The family runs for the Swiss club OLG Rymenzburg

Mathias Merz is a former world champion (2 gold + 7 silver and bronze), European champion (1 gold + 3 silver) and Nordic champion. He also has three third places from the World Cup in orienteering, in 2008, 2011 and 2012. He had his international breakthrough in 2002 when he won his first junior World Cup gold in the relay. In the two years that followed, he won individual gold medals, silver and bronze medals in the Junior World Cup (JWOC)
